• I am seeking a proven expert with hands-on experience as an architect and a solid foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You should possess an expert level of proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes. I value demonstrated experience in moving large-scale infrastructures from on-premises settings to the cloud. A strong comprehension of networking principles (e.g., VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancing) is essential. Experience designing and implementing observability solutions, such as monitoring, logging, and tracing, is highly desirable. Familiarity with reducing cloud footprints in a multi-cloud context, particularly with Azure, will set you apart. I am looking for someone who has a strong commitment to automation and the creation of resilient, self-healing systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to effectively collaborate within a team environment are key.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, I need you to lead the transition of on-premises systems to a secure, scalable, and highly available GCP environment. You will architect and implement cloud-native solutions on GCP, making use of a wide variety of Google Cloud products and services. I expect you to develop and manage our infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments. Your focus will be on designing, building, and maintaining our Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, ensuring they perform optimally and reliably. You will implement and oversee zero-downtime deployment strategies for essential infrastructure and applications. Establishing and tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) will be crucial to meeting business and customer expectations. You will also develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring dashboards, which incorporate distributed tracing, logging, and metrics for proactive issue resolution. Collaboration with development and operations teams to nurture a culture of DevOps and continuous improvement will be essential. Additionally, I expect you to provide technical leadership and mentorship to our cloud platform engineering team.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $99,782 to $161,000 based on your experience and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards based on performance, and is subject to the applicable terms of Cognizant's plans.
