We are seeking a Locums Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide orthopedic coverage in Mason City, Iowa. This role includes a mix of clinical, surgical, and trauma/orthopedic call responsibilities. Candidates must have orthopedic experience and be comfortable functioning in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details:
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weeknight call required
No weekend coverage
Call Responsibilities:
Rounding on post-operative patients
Inpatient and ED consults
First-assist in the OR
Trauma and orthopedic call
Job Responsibilities:
Provide orthopedic clinical care to surgical and non-surgical patients
Conduct hospital rounds on post-operative patients
Respond to emergency room and inpatient consults
Assist in the operating room for orthopedic surgical procedures
Participate in trauma and orthopedic call coverage during weeknights
Requirements:
Certification:
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Licensure:
Active Iowa license or active Compact/IMLC LOQ
Experience:
Prior orthopedic and surgical first-assist experience preferred
Experience in trauma and post-operative care is a plus
