Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands such as Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we have established multiple sales channels including our DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We’re passionate about creating an inspiring and engaging shopping experience for our customers, bringing their home decor dreams to life with stunning, on-trend pieces.
We are seeking a new member to add to our Development team. Are you ready to be a part of something amazing?
We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic UI/UX Designer to join our development team and help us create best-in-class customer-centric Shopify stores. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and content creators to translate business goals into engaging and user-centered designs.
Responsibilities
Design user interfaces (UIs) for Shopify themes, ensuring a pixel-perfect and visually appealing experience across all devices.
Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and inform design decisions.
Develop user flows and wireframes to map out the user journey and optimize the shopping experience.
Create interactive prototypes using Figma to showcase design concepts and user interactions.
Work with the marketing team to implement landing pages and other custom page content.
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and translate seamlessly into Shopify themes.
Stay up-to-date on the latest Shopify features, e-commerce design trends, and best practices for accessibility and SEO.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer with a focus on e-commerce.
In-depth knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
Proficiency in design tools like Figma.
A solid understanding of Shopify themes and their functionalities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
A passion for e-commerce and a strong desire to create user-friendly shopping experiences.
Bonus Points For
Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
Knowledge of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with user research methodologies and user testing tools.
